The Blues and Saint Louis University Hospital teamed up for the 3rd annual Pink at the Rink to benefit Komen for the Cure St. Louis on October 23 when the Blues took on the Minnesota Wild.
October is Hockey Fights Cancer™ Awareness Month. The league-wide initiative includes numerous activities that involve all 30 clubs, players, management and fans - as well as the creation of Hockey Fights Cancer-themed merchandise - all with the goal of raising awareness and funds for this important cause.

The Blues raised more than $25,000 and hosted breast cancer survivors, and children and families from local cancer related organizations during Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend on October 23 - 24. Blues fans supported the cause by purchasing tickets through a special offer, merchandise, and participating in silent auctions.

The Blues and Saint Louis University Hospital teamed up for the 3rd annual Pink at the Rink to benefit Komen for the Cure St. Louis on October 23 when the Blues took on the Minnesota Wild.Fans purchased tickets through a special offer, with $5 of the price benefiting Komen for the Cure St. Louis. Blues wife Chantal Tkachuk recorded a promotional spot that aired on Y98 promoting the ticket offer and special night.
Highlights from the night included a special in-arena survivor welcome, breast cancer education booth, and survivors also had the chance to ride the zamboni at intermission. In addition, the Fox Sports Midwest banner that was signed by the Blues & Fox Sports Midwest Race for the Cure team will be displayed behind the player's bench during this special game. Two survivors and their families were also surprised with a post-game meet and greet with Blues player Paul Kariya.
Volunteers sold Blues ribbon pins and Pink at the Rink pins for $5 each at each entrance, as well as mystery mini-helmets that were signed by Blues players. Fans bid on items in a special silent auction, which included unique items such as a team autographed limited edition pink acrylic stick and pink autographed jerseys.

The Blues partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during the October 24 game for this season's Hockey Fights Cancer Night!
The Blues partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during the October 24 game for this season's Hockey Fights Cancer Night!The Blues hosted children and their families from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Friends of Kids with Cancer at the game. Two special children got the ultimate fan experience with a pre-game meet and greet with game referees (as a part of the Zebras Care program), chance to ride the zamboni, and a post-game meet and greet with Blues player David Perron. Two other families, both with cancer survivors, enjoyed a suite hosted by Wendy Pleau, wife of Blues GM Larry Pleau, along with other Blues wives Diana Davidson, Mary Shaw and Kelly Armstrong. The Blues recognized Wendy, along with other cancer survivors, during the 1st intermission.
